Privacy Policy
Effective October 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Hyperspace Inc. (“Hyperspace,” “ServiceStellar,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information in connection with the ServiceStellar website at servicestellar.com, the ServiceStellar application at app.servicestellar.com, and the emails and text messages sent through ServiceStellar (together, the “Service”).
It covers three groups of people: visitors to our website, the people at businesses who use ServiceStellar (“Shops” and their “Shop Users”), and the customers of those Shops (“Shop Customers”).
1. Who is responsible for your information
Website visitors and Shop Users. Hyperspace is responsible for the personal information we collect through our website and about the Shop Users who have ServiceStellar accounts.
Shop Customers. Each Shop decides what information to record about its own customers and how to use it. The Shop is responsible for that information, and Hyperspace processes it on the Shop’s behalf, under the Shop’s instructions and our agreement with the Shop. If you are a Shop Customer, the Shop you dealt with is your first point of contact for questions about your information, and we will help the Shop respond. You can also contact us directly using the details below.
2. Information we collect
Website visitors
- Information you send us: when you book a demo or contact support, we collect your name, company, email address, phone number (if you give it) and whatever you write in the form.
- Technical information: our hosting and security provider processes standard request data such as IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Shop Users
- Name, email address, role and the Shop you belong to.
- A securely hashed version of your password (we never store the password itself), and the one-time 6-digit sign-in codes we email to you.
- Activity and audit logs, such as sign-ins, the records you create or change, and when.
- Messages you send to our support team.
Shop Customers (recorded by the Shop)
- Name, phone number, email address and service addresses.
- Items and equipment you own or rent, such as a bike’s make, model and serial number.
- Photos of items taken at check-in, inspection or return.
- Typed and drawn signatures on estimates, rental agreements and waivers.
- The fact that the Shop checked your ID for a rental. We do not store ID numbers or copies of ID documents.
- Payment amounts and references recorded by the Shop. Payments are taken in the Shop’s own point-of-sale system. ServiceStellar does not process or store payment card numbers.
- Your email and text message preferences, including whether you agreed to receive text messages, and the messages sent to you through ServiceStellar.
- Repair, job and rental details, such as estimates, approvals, appointments, due-back times and fees.
3. How we use information
- To provide the Service: run repairs, field service jobs and rentals for Shops, and send the related emails and text messages.
- To create and secure accounts, including approving new Shops and verifying sign-ins with emailed codes.
- To respond to demo requests and support messages.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use Shop Customer information for our own marketing. We do not use personal information for targeted advertising.
4. Text Messaging (SMS)
ServiceStellar, operated by Hyperspace Inc., provides text message notifications on behalf of participating repair and service shops (“Shops”) that use the ServiceStellar platform.
Information we collect. When you opt in to text messages at a Shop, we collect your mobile phone number, your name, the Shop you are working with, and a record of your consent: the date, time, and method of opt-in. We also keep records of messages sent to you and any replies you send, including opt-out requests.
How we use it. We use your mobile number only to send you transactional messages about your own repairs, service appointments, and rentals. These include repair check-in confirmations, estimates and approval requests, repair status updates, pickup notices, appointment booked or rescheduled notices, technician on-the-way and job-complete notices, and rental reservation, check-out, extension, and return confirmations. We do not send marketing or promotional messages through this program.
No sharing for marketing. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with service providers that help us deliver messages (such as our SMS delivery provider and wireless carriers). Those providers may use the data only to deliver our messages.
Opting out. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation message, and then no further messages will be sent unless you opt in again by replying START. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at [email protected].
Retention. We keep consent and opt-out records for as long as needed to meet our legal and carrier compliance obligations. We then delete or de-identify them.

We protect information with encryption in transit and at rest, database-level separation of each Shop’s data, access controls, sign-in verification codes and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected Shops and individuals of a security breach as the law requires.
7. How long we keep information
We keep Shop and Shop Customer information for as long as the Shop has an active account, and as needed to provide the Service. When a Shop closes its account, we delete or anonymize its data within a reasonable period, unless we must keep it longer for legal, tax, security or dispute reasons. Demo and support messages are kept as long as needed to respond and for our ordinary business records.
8. Your choices and rights
- Text messages: reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them.
